Phases & Attacks:

  1. Head Projectile: King Totomesu will open his mouth and spit out a small, bouncing projectile. This projectile can be stomped or destroyed with a Superball.
  2. Movement: He remains stationary, only moving his head to spit projectiles.

Strategy:

  • Recommended Power-up: Superball Mario is highly recommended. If you don't have it, Super Mario is still manageable, but you'll need to be more precise.
  • Attack Pattern: King Totomesu will continuously spit projectiles. Your goal is to hit his head.
  • Superball Strategy: If you are Superball Mario, stand on the platform to the left or right of him and shoot Superballs. Aim your shots so they bounce off the ceiling or floor and hit his head. It takes 5 hits to defeat him.
  • Stomp Strategy (if no Superball): If you are Super Mario, you'll need to jump on his head. This is riskier as you'll need to time your jumps to avoid his projectiles and land on his head without taking damage. You can stomp on the projectiles he spits out to gain height for a jump onto his head.
  • Dodging: The projectiles are easy to dodge by jumping over them or ducking under them if you're on a lower platform.

After 5 successful hits, King Totomesu will explode, and you'll be able to proceed to the next world. This boss is a good warm-up for the more challenging encounters to come, so take your time and learn his simple pattern.
