World 3-1 Walkthrough

Welcome to World 3-1, the first stage of the Easton Kingdom. This world is characterized by its unique Egyptian-inspired theme and introduces new environmental hazards and enemy types, including the iconic Moai statues. Precision platforming and careful observation are key to success here.

You'll begin by navigating a series of platforms, some of which are moving or appear and disappear. The most notable new hazard is the Moai statue heads that periodically spit projectiles. These projectiles can be difficult to dodge, especially in tight spaces. If you have the Super Ball Flower, it's highly recommended to use it to destroy these projectiles or the statues themselves from a safe distance.

You'll also encounter familiar enemies like Goombas and Pico Pico-kun, often placed in challenging positions. Be mindful of the terrain, which can include slopes and uneven surfaces that affect your running and jumping. The bouncy mushrooms also make an appearance, requiring careful control to reach higher platforms.

As you progress, you'll enter areas with sand. Sand can slow your movement, making it harder to evade enemies or make precise jumps. Be aware of the Sand Digger, a creature that pops out of the sand, which can surprise you. If you're in Super Mario form, you can break blocks from below, which may reveal helpful items.

The latter half of World 3-1 often involves navigating through narrow passages with multiple hazards. The Moai statues continue to be a threat, and you'll need to time your movements between their projectile attacks. If you have the Shrink Flower, it can make navigating these tight spaces much easier, allowing you to slip through smaller gaps and avoid many enemy attacks.

The end of World 3-1 does not feature a boss. Instead, you will need to complete a challenging platforming sequence to reach the end of the level. This often involves a series of timed jumps and careful maneuvering through areas with disappearing blocks and projectile-firing Moai statues. Focus on steady progress and don't take unnecessary risks.
