There are two types of coins in Super Mario Odyssey:
- Yellow Coins: The standard currency found everywhere. Used to purchase health-ups, Power Moons (post-game), and general outfits from Crazy Cap shops. Losing all your health costs 10 Yellow Coins.
- Purple Coins (Regional Coins): Unique to each kingdom. Used to purchase kingdom-specific outfits and souvenirs from Crazy Cap shops. They do not carry over between kingdoms.
Collecting coins is essential for customization and purchasing helpful items. Always keep an eye out for them!
