Episode 6: The Hillside Cave Secret

This episode takes you on a journey to uncover a hidden Shine Sprite within the mysterious Hillside Cave. Be prepared for some precise platforming and a bit of exploration!

Accessing the Hillside Cave

1. First, head towards the large, rocky hill located on the western side of the main island. You'll recognize it by the distinct, slightly darker rock face.
2. Look for a small, almost hidden entrance at the base of this hill. It's often obscured by some overgrown foliage. Spraying the area with FLUDD can sometimes reveal it more clearly.
3. Once you locate the entrance, simply walk into it to warp inside the Hillside Cave.

Navigating the Cave

The Hillside Cave is a linear, but challenging, platforming area. There are no enemies here, but the environment itself is your main obstacle.

• Initial Platforming: Upon entering, you'll find yourself on a narrow ledge. Carefully jump across the series of moving platforms. These platforms often shift in and out of the wall or move up and down, so time your jumps precisely.
• The Rotating Pillars: Further in, you'll encounter a section with several large, rotating stone pillars. You'll need to jump from one pillar to the next as they rotate.
• Strategy: Wait for the pillars to align themselves so that the gap between them is minimal. A well-timed triple jump or dive can help cover longer distances if needed.
• Hidden Item: Keep an eye out for a single Red Coin floating above the third rotating pillar. It's a bit out of the way, but worth grabbing if you're aiming for 100% completion later.
• The Sliding Wall: After the rotating pillars, you'll come to a large, flat wall that periodically slides open and closed.
• Strategy: Wait for the wall to fully open, then quickly run and long jump through the gap before it closes again. Don't hesitate, as the closing speed can be surprisingly fast.

The Secret Chamber and the Shine Sprite

1. Once you've successfully navigated the sliding wall, you'll enter a wider, circular chamber.
2. In the center of this chamber, you'll see a large, glowing Shine Sprite suspended in the air.
3. To reach it, you'll need to perform a series of wall jumps. Look for the distinct markings on the cave walls that indicate suitable surfaces for wall jumping.
4. Perform a wall jump off one side, then quickly turn and wall jump off the opposite side, gaining height with each bounce.
5. Continue this pattern until you are high enough to reach the Shine Sprite.
6. Touch the Shine Sprite to collect it and complete Episode 6!
