Phase 1: Master Giant

Master Core transforms into a massive, shadowy giant. He moves slowly but has powerful, wide-reaching attacks.

  • Attacks: Ground slams, sweeping arm attacks, a powerful laser from his eye.
  • Strategy: Target his head, which is his weak point. Use aerial attacks or jump to reach it. Stay out from under his feet to avoid being crushed. Dodge his laser by moving to the side.

Phase 2: Master Beast

Master Core becomes a four-legged beast, resembling a wolf or dog. He is fast and aggressive.

  • Attacks: Charges across the stage, bites, pounces, and can create shockwaves.
  • Strategy: Attack his body. His head and tail are often protected. Dodge his charges by jumping over him or rolling. Use quick, multi-hit attacks if possible.

Phase 3: Master Shadow

Master Core splits into multiple shadowy copies of your character. The number of copies depends on the Intensity.

  • Attacks: They use your character's moveset.
  • Strategy: Treat these as regular opponents. Focus on one at a time. Use your knowledge of your own character's weaknesses against them. They are generally weaker than a human player.

Phase 4: Master Fortress

Master Core transforms into a sprawling, stage-like fortress. You must destroy several glowing cores embedded within it.

  • Attacks: The fortress itself has various hazards, including spikes, lasers, and moving platforms. Enemies may also spawn.
  • Strategy: Navigate the fortress and locate the glowing cores. Destroy them with your attacks. Be mindful of the stage hazards and any enemies that appear. This phase is more about platforming and target prioritization.

Phase 5: Master Core (Final Form)

After destroying Master Fortress, Master Core reverts to a small, vulnerable core. This is your final chance to deal damage.

  • Attacks: He has very few attacks in this form, mostly just trying to evade you.
  • Strategy: Unleash everything you have! Use your strongest smash attacks and special moves to finish him off before he can recover or escape.

Master Core is a test of endurance and adaptability. Conserve your damage, learn each form's patterns, and be prepared for a long fight. Successfully defeating him at Intensity 9.0 is one of the game's ultimate challenges.
