Trophies are collectible 3D models of characters, items, and elements from various Nintendo (and third-party) games. There are hundreds of trophies to collect, each with a brief description providing lore and background information. Collecting them all is a significant undertaking and a core part of the Smash Bros. experience.
How to Obtain Trophies
- Smash Battles: Trophies can randomly appear as rewards for winning standard Smash battles, especially if you have the 'Trophy Rush' item enabled.
- Classic Mode: Completing Classic Mode, particularly at higher intensities, frequently awards trophies.
- All-Star Mode: Finishing All-Star Mode also grants trophies.
- Trophy Rush: This dedicated mode (found under 'Games & More') allows you to spend gold to smash falling blocks, hoping to uncover trophies. The more damage you deal, the more trophies you can potentially earn.
- Target Blast!: Achieving high scores in Target Blast! can also yield trophies.
- Challenges: Many challenges (see below) have trophies as rewards.
- Shop: Some trophies can be purchased directly from the Trophy Shop using gold. The shop's inventory rotates, so check back often.
- Event Match: Completing specific Event Matches can unlock unique trophies.
Once collected, you can view your trophies in the 'Vault' section of the main menu. You can rotate them, zoom in, and read their descriptions. Some trophies even have special poses or animations.
