Offensive items are designed to deal damage, launch opponents, or otherwise disrupt their game plan. Knowing when and how to use these can be the difference between victory and defeat.

- Ray Gun: Fires rapid-fire projectiles. Good for racking up damage from a distance.
- Beam Sword: A powerful melee weapon with extended reach. Increases the power of your standard attacks.
- Home-Run Bat: A slow but incredibly powerful weapon. A fully charged Forward-Smash with this can instantly KO opponents at low percentages.
- Bob-omb: A walking bomb that explodes after a short delay or upon contact. Can be picked up and thrown.
- Motion-Sensor Bomb: Sticks to surfaces and explodes when an opponent gets close. Great for stage control and traps.
- Star Rod: A melee weapon that also fires stars as projectiles with its smash attacks.
When using offensive items, consider the situation. The Home-Run Bat is best used when an opponent is at high damage and you have a clear opening. Ray Guns are good for keeping distance, while Beam Swords are for close-quarters combat. Bob-ombs and Motion-Sensor Bombs are excellent for setting up traps or edge-guarding. Always be aware of your surroundings and your opponent's position when deploying these powerful tools.
