Campsites & Rest Stops

Campsites serve as vital sanctuaries in the world of Tales of Arise, offering a much-needed respite from the constant threat of combat. These safe zones allow players to heal their party, prepare meals for beneficial buffs, manage inventory, and engage in character-building conversations, making them indispensable for progression.

Scattered throughout the diverse landscapes of Dahna, campsites are marked on your map by a distinct tent icon. Upon reaching a campsite, you'll have the option to interact with it, initiating a series of restorative and preparatory actions. Resting at a campsite fully replenishes your party's HP (Health Points) and SP (Skill Points), ensuring everyone is ready for the next encounter. It also revives any fallen party members, making it a crucial stop before or after challenging battles.

The most sificant feature of campsites is the ability to cook. With Rinwell and later Kisara capable of preparing meals, You can use gathered ingredients to create dishes that provide temporary buffs. These buffs can range from increased attack power and defense to enhanced experience gain or improved item drop rates. The effectiveness and duration of these buffs vary depending on the recipe and ingredients used, encouraging strategic meal preparation based on upcoming challenges.

Activities available at Campsites:

  • Rest: Fully restore HP and SP, and revive fallen allies.
  • Cook: Prepare several dishes using gathered ingredients to gain temporary party buffs.
  • Talk: Engage in conversations with party members, triggering Skits and deepening character bonds.
  • Craft: Access the Blacksmith to forge and upgrade weapons and accessories.
  • Manage Inventory: Organize items, equip new gear, and use consumables.

The strategic use of campsites is essential. Before tackling a boss or entering a dangerous dungeon, ensure your party is fully healed and has the appropriate buffs from cooked meals. For instance, cooking a dish that increases resistance to fire will be invaluable when facing fire-based enemies. Furthermore, resting often triggers Skits, optional conversations that provide valuable lore and character insights, making campsites more than just a place to recover.

Remember to always check your inventory for new recipes and ingredients, as cooking is one of the most effective ways to gain an edge in combat.
