Enemies pose a moderate threat, and utilize their Artes, Boost Attacks, and Boost Strikes effectively to succeed. This is the recommended setting for most players.
- Calamity Mode: This is the hardest difficulty setting, reserved for players seeking the ultimate challenge. Enemies are sificantly stronger, deal immense damage, and have more aggressive AI. Success in Calamity Mode requires mastery of the combat system, optimal gear, and perfect execution of strategies. This mode is unlocked after completing the game once.
You can switch between these difficulty settings at any time from the options menu, allowing for flexibility throughout their playthrough. If you find a particular boss too challenging on Normal, you can temporarily lower the difficulty to Story Mode to progress, and then switch back afterward.
