The Skill Panel in Tales of Arise is the primary system for character progression, allowing you to unlock new Artes, passive abilities, and stat boosts. Each character has their own unique Skill Panel, divided into various sections that correspond to different aspects of their combat style and growth. Unlocking nodes on these panels requires Skill Points (SP), which are earned through combat, completing quests, and leveling up.

Artes are the special attacks and spells characters use in combat. They are learned by progressing through the Skill Panel. There are two main types of Artes: Ground Artes and Aerial Artes. Ground Artes are typically used when the character is on the ground, while Aerial Artes are performed when the character is airborne. Mastering the use of both is crucial for effective combat. Beyond Artes, the Skill Panel also grants access to passive abilities, such as increased attack power, defense, or faster SP regeneration. Some nodes might also unlock new combat techniques or enhance existing ones, like increasing the duration of combos or the effectiveness of Boost Attacks. It's important to strategically allocate SP to unlock Artes and abilities that complement your playstyle and the party's overall composition. For example, unlocking healing Artes for a support character or powerful offensive Artes for your main damage dealer. Regularly reviewing and upgrading your Skill Panels is key to maximizing your characters' potential throughout the game.

Skill Panel Progression:
