Dungeons & Areas

Welcome, aspiring hero, to the definitive guide for navigating the treacherous and rewarding landscapes of Dahna! This section will provide detailed walkthroughs for each major dungeon and area you'll encounter, ensuring you don't miss a single secret, item, or strategic advantage. Prepare to delve deep!

Calaglia Region

Your journey begins in the fiery, oppressive lands of Calaglia. This region is characterized by its volcanic terrain and the harsh rule of Lord Balseph. Expect to face numerous armored enemies and fire-elemental foes.

Zionne Mine Tunnels

The Zionne Mine Tunnels are your first true dungeon experience. This dark, winding mine is filled with both dangers and valuable resources. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden paths and mining points.

  • Entrance to Central Mine: Upon entering, follow the main path. You'll encounter several Armored Swordsmen and Fire Golems. Utilize Alphen's Boost Attack to break their guards effectively.
  • First Fork: At the first junction, head left to find a chest containing a Life Bottle. Return to the fork and proceed right.
  • Mining Point: Shortly after the first fork, on the right side of the tunnel, you'll find a mining point yielding Iron Ore and potentially Ignis Ore.
  • Lower Level Access: You'll eventually reach a section with a downward slope. Before descending, check the small alcove to your left for a bag containing Orange Gel x2.
  • Central Mine - East Section: As you navigate the central area, stick to the eastern wall. There's a hidden path leading to a chest with a Stamina Ring, which is excellent for early-game health boosts.
  • Boss Prep: As you approach the exit leading to the Sandinus Ravine, you'll notice a healing light. This is your cue to prepare for a potential boss encounter or a challenging enemy group. Ensure your party's HP and CP are topped off.
  • Exit: The tunnels eventually open up into the Sandinus Ravine.

Strategy Tip: The enemies in Zionne Mine Tunnels are often weak to water or wind artes. If you have Shionne in your party, her healing artes will be invaluable, and her Boost Attack can interrupt charging enemies.

Sandinus Ravine

This open-air ravine serves as a transition zone, but don't let its appearance fool you. It's home to more formidable enemies and offers several exploration opportunities.

  • Initial Path: Follow the winding path. You'll encounter groups of Wild Boars and Armored Spearmen. Use Dohalim's Boost Attack to control groups of smaller enemies.
  • Overlook Point: There's a scenic overlook to the north-east of the initial entrance. While primarily for aesthetics, it sometimes hides a rare gathering point for Beast Bones.
  • Hidden Chest: Along the southern edge of the ravine, near a large rock formation, you can find a chest containing 1200 Gald.
  • Mining Point: Look for a mining point nestled against the cliff face on the western side, yielding more Iron Ore and potentially Stone Fragments.
  • Path to Ulzebek: Continue following the main path north-west. You'll eventually reach the entrance to Ulzebek.

Strategy Tip: The open nature of Sandinus Ravine can make it easy to get surrounded. Focus on taking out ranged enemies first if present, and use area-of-effect artes to manage groups.

Iglia Wastes

The Iglia Wastes are a desolate and expansive area, serving as a crucial link between several key locations. Expect to spend some time here, as it's rich with resources and side quests.

  • Main Road: The central road through the wastes is relatively safe, but venturing off it is where the real rewards lie.
  • Northern Plateau: To the north, a higher plateau can be accessed. Here, you'll often find stronger variants of basic enemies and a chest containing a Panacea Bottle.
  • Western Ruins: Explore the ruins on the western side of the wastes. Among the debris, you can discover a bag with Apple Gel x3 and a rare gathering point for Mystic Crests.
  • Campsite: A convenient campsite is located roughly in the center of the Iglia Wastes. This is an excellent spot to rest, cook, and manage your party before proceeding.
  • Fishing Spot: Near the eastern edge, close to the entrance to Mosgul, there's a small pond that serves as a fishing spot. You can catch various types of fish here, useful for cooking.
  • Sub-Quest Trigger: Keep an eye out for NPCs with quest markers. The Iglia Wastes often host the starting points for early sub-quests, such as "Another Hillside Anomaly."

Strategy Tip: Due to the size of the Iglia Wastes, consider using the auto-run feature to traverse longer distances. Engage in battles regularly to keep your party's levels up, as some of the enemies off the main path can be challenging.
