This boss is a significant step up in difficulty. The Fendel General has high physical defense and powerful area-of-effect attacks. His weakness is Fire. He often charges up a devastating attack, indicated by a visual cue; this is your window to guard or use a powerful B-Arte to interrupt him. Utilize Cheria's healing B-Artes to keep the party healthy. Asbel should focus on breaking his guard with strong A-Artes, while Hubert and Malik can unleash Fire-elemental B-Artes. Pascal, if available, can also contribute with elemental attacks. Keep your party spread out to minimize damage from his AoE attacks. The reward includes Gald and potentially a rare material.
