Izoold

After the dramatic events at the Palmacosta Human Ranch, your next destination is the coastal town of Izoold. This fishing village holds crucial information and items necessary for your journey. Be prepared for some emotional encounters and a few side quests.

Arrival and Initial Exploration

Upon entering Izoold, you'll immediately trigger a cutscene. Pay close attention to the dialogue, as it sets the stage for the town's current plight.
Inn: Before doing anything else, head to the Inn (located on the left side of the main path). Rest up to restore HP and TP. This is also a good opportunity to save your game.
Shop: The local shop (to the right of the Inn) offers some basic supplies. Stock up on any needed Apple Gels, Orange Gels, and Life Bottles. You might also consider upgrading any outdated equipment if you have the Gald.

The Search for the Spirit of Water

Your primary objective in Izoold is to find information regarding the Spirit of Water, Undine. This will involve speaking to the townspeople.

Lyla's House: Head to the house at the far end of the village, past the docks. This is Lyla's house. Engage in conversation with her. She will reveal important details about the village's connection to the Spirit of Water and the current difficulties they face.
Fisherman on the Docks: Speak to the fisherman standing on the docks. He'll provide additional context about the declining fish population and the impact on Izoold.
Chief's House: Locate the Chief's house (it's one of the larger buildings near the center of town). The Chief will be reluctant to help at first, but persistence (and perhaps a bit of prodding from your party members) will eventually lead him to share vital information about the Spirit of Water's Ring.

Obtaining the Spirit of Water's Ring

The Chief will inform you that the Spirit of Water's Ring is located in the nearby Thoda Geyser. However, before you can proceed, you'll need to gather a few more details.

Lyla's Request: Return to Lyla's house. She will ask for your help in finding her missing pet, a Sephira. Agree to help her. This is a crucial step for a later side quest and will also earn you a valuable item.
Kratos's Advice: Kratos will offer some tactical advice regarding the upcoming dungeon. Listen carefully, as his insights are often helpful.

Side Quests and Notable Items

Sephira Search: While exploring Izoold, keep an eye out for Lyla's Sephira. It's a small, glowing creature. It can be found hiding near the large fishing nets on the docks. Interacting with it will return it to Lyla and she will reward you with a Mumei.
Hidden Gald: Check behind the Inn for a hidden chest containing 500 Gald. Every bit helps!
Figurine Collector: There's a character in Izoold who collects figurines. If you have any Figurines from previous encounters, you can sell them here for a decent price.

Preparation for Thoda Geyser

Before leaving Izoold for the Thoda Geyser, ensure your party is well-equipped and prepared:

Equipment Check: Verify that all your characters have the best available weapons and armor. The shop in Izoold might have some minor upgrades, but don't expect anything groundbreaking.
Item Stock: Replenish your supply of Gels and Life Bottles. The Thoda Geyser can be a challenging dungeon.
Save Your Game: Always save your game at the Inn before venturing into a new area.

Once you've completed these steps, you're ready to head to the Thoda Geyser, located just a short distance south of Izoold on the world map.
