Leather Helm: A very common early-game item. You can purchase this from the general store in Baticul for a modest sum. It provides a slight defense boost, which is helpful for Luke and Guy.
Bandana: Often dropped by weaker enemies in the Tartarus or found in chests within the Cheagle Woods. This offers minimal defense but is better than nothing for your magic-users like Tear or Jade.
Straw Hat: Can be bought in Engeve or found in chests around the Fubras River area. It's a slight upgrade from the Bandana for characters with lower physical defense.

Mid-Game Headgear & Strategic Acquisitions

Iron Helm: A solid defensive upgrade for Luke and Guy. Available for purchase in St. Binah and Keterburg. Also a common drop from armored enemies in the Zao Ruins.
Mithril Circlet: An excellent choice for your magic-users (Tear, Jade, Anise). Provides good defense and often a boost to F.ATK or F.DEF. Look for this in chests within the Absorption Gate or purchase it later in Grand Chokmah.

Mystic Symbol: While not strictly headgear, this accessory often functions similarly by providing significant F.ATK or F.DEF boosts. It's a rare drop from certain powerful enemies in the Planet Storm or can be found in the deepest parts of the Absorption Gate (Remix).
Elemental Circlets (Diamond, Emerald, etc.): These provide robust resistance to specific elements. They are typically found in side quests or as rewards for defeating optional bosses in the Radiation Gate or Eldrant. It can be synthesized after acquiring the necessary rare materials from the Final Dungeon or obtained as a reward for completing a challenging arena battle in Nordopolica.

Many powerful headgear items are not found in chests but must be crafted using materials dropped by monsters or found in various locations.
