Recommended Preparations

• Stock Up: Before entering Ghasfarost, ensure you have a healthy supply of Apple Gels, Orange Gels, and Life Bottles. Lemon Gels and Panacea Bottles are also useful if you have them.
• Equipment Check: Upgrade everyone's weapons and armor at the Nordopolica shop if you haven't already. Pay particular attention to Judith, as she joins your party shortly before this dungeon.
• Learn Skills: Spend your accumulated Learning Points (LP) to unlock new skills for all characters. Focus on stat boosts, elemental resistance, and combat utility skills.

Ghasfarost Walkthrough: Lower Levels

1. Entrance Hall:
   • Head straight from the entrance. You'll immediately encounter Imperial Knights and Green Basilisks.
   • Treasure: To your immediate left, near some crates, you'll find a chest containing 1500 Gald.
   • Proceed through the large door to the north.
2. Central Corridor:
   • This corridor features several side rooms.
   • Treasure: The first door on your left leads to a small room with a chest containing a Life Bottle.
   • Continue down the corridor. The next door on your left is locked for now.
   • Treasure: The door on your right leads to a room with an Apple Gel.
   • At the end of the corridor, you'll find a large lift. Interact with it to ascend to the next level.

Ghasfarost Walkthrough: Mid-Levels & Karol's Introduction

As you ascend, the fortress layout becomes more complex, introducing environmental puzzles.

3. Lift Landing & Switch Puzzle:
   • After exiting the lift, you'll be on a landing.
   • Treasure: To your right, behind some machinery, is a chest with a Panacea Bottle.
   • You'll notice a large, locked door ahead and a smaller door to your left. Take the smaller door.
   • This room contains a switch mechanism. Interact with the Control Panel to activate the lift. This will also unlock the large door on the previous landing.
   • Return to the landing and proceed through the now-unlocked large door.
4. Karol's Encounter:
   • You'll enter a new section where you'll witness a scene involving Karol Capel. After the cutscene, Karol will temporarily join your party.
   • Treasure: In this area, look for a chest containing Chain Mail (Armor for Yuri/Karol).
   • Continue through the next door.
5. Bridge & Crane Puzzle:
   • You'll find yourself on a bridge overlooking a lower area.
   • Treasure: Before crossing the bridge, check the small alcove to your left for a chest containing Orange Gel x2.
   • Cross the bridge. You'll encounter a broken section and a crane mechanism.
   • Puzzle: Interact with the Crane Control Panel. This will swing a platform into place, allowing you to cross the gap.
   • Continue across the newly formed path.

Ghasfarost Walkthrough: Upper Levels & Raven's Appearance

The upper levels feature more challenging enemies and lead to the dungeon's climax.

6. Upper Corridor & Raven:
   • After the crane puzzle, you'll enter another corridor.
   • Treasure: Immediately to your right, tucked away, is a chest with a Specific.
   • As you proceed, you'll encounter Raven, who will engage your party in a brief, non-threatening combat sequence. After the scene, Raven will join your party.
   • Continue through the door at the end of the corridor.
7. Final Ascent & Save Point:
   • This area consists of several interconnected platforms and stairs leading upwards.
   • Treasure: Explore thoroughly! On a raised platform to your left, you'll find a chest containing a Bastard Sword (Weapon for Yuri).
   • Treasure: On another platform, near a broken wall, is a chest with a Leather Coat (Armor for Estelle/Rita/Judith).
   • Near the top, you'll find a Save Point. This is your last chance to save and prepare before the boss battle. Use it!
   • Heal your party, equip the best gear, and set up your strategies.
   • Proceed through the large door at the very top.

Boss Battle: Zagi

The recurring antagonist, Zagi, awaits you at the summit of Ghasfarost. This is a challenging fight that requires careful management of your party and resources.

Zagi's Stats & Weaknesses

Strategy Tips

• Party Composition: A balanced party is crucial. Yuri and Karol for melee damage, Estelle for healing, and Rita for elemental artes. Raven can provide support and ranged attacks.
• Target Zagi: Focus all your attacks on Zagi. Ignore any minor summoned enemies if they appear; they are usually a distraction.
• Exploit Weakness: After Zagi uses his "Cyclone" arte, he becomes temporarily weak to Wind attacks. This is Rita's time to shine! Spam Wind Blade or other wind-elemental artes.
• Guard & Dodge: Zagi's attacks are fast. Learn his patterns and use Guard (L2/LT) to block incoming damage. Free Run (L1/LB + Left Stick) is excellent for dodging his larger AoE attacks.
• Over Limit Management: Save your Over Limit gauges for when Zagi is vulnerable (e.g., after Cyclone) or when you need to interrupt his powerful combos. Yuri's Over Limit can be used to chain artes for massive damage.
