Ehmead Hill

After the events in Halure, your next destination is Ehmead Hill. This area serves as a crucial pathway and introduces new enemies and challenges. Be prepared for a boss encounter at the end of this segment.

Navigating Ehmead Hill

Upon entering Ehmead Hill, you'll be on a winding path. Keep an eye out for hidden items and engage in battles to gain experience and Gald. The enemies here, such as the Green Roper and Goblin, are a step up from previous areas. Focus on chaining combos and utilizing your Artes effectively.

  • Initial Path: Follow the main path. You'll quickly come across your first treasure.
  • First Treasure: Located just off the main path to your left, you'll find a chest containing a Life Bottle. These are invaluable for reviving fallen allies, so stock up when you can.
  • Second Treasure: Continue along the path. Before long, you'll spot another chest containing 200 Gald. Every bit of Gald helps for purchasing new equipment and items.
  • Third Treasure: As you progress further, the path will widen slightly. Look for a small alcove or deviation to find a chest with an Orange Gel. This item restores TP, which is essential for using Artes.
  • Healing Point: Near the end of the hill, before the boss encounter, you'll find a save point and a healing circle. use both! Save your game and fully restore your party's HP and TP.

Boss Battle: Goliath

The boss of Ehmead Hill is the Goliath. This battle can be challenging if you're not prepared, especially since Repede's AI can sometimes be less than optimal in this fight. Here's how to approach it:

Preparation:
  • Equipment: Ensure Yuri, Estelle, and Karol have the best available equipment. If you haven't already, consider purchasing new weapons or armor in Halure if your Gald allows.
  • Items: Have a good supply of Apple Gels (HP restoration), Orange Gels (TP restoration), and at least 2-3 Life Bottles.
  • Artes Setup:
    • Yuri: Focus on offensive Artes like Azure Edge for range and Severing Fang for close-quarters damage.
    • Estelle: Set her to prioritize healing Artes like First Aid. You can adjust her strategy in the menu to "Heal" or "Support" to ensure she focuses on keeping the party alive.
    • Karol: His powerful physical attacks are useful. Set his Artes to include Rending Slash or Punishing Smash for damage.
    • Repede: While his AI can be frustrating here, ensure he has his offensive Artes enabled.
  • Battle Strategy:
    • Manual/Semi-Auto/Auto: For this fight, it's highly recommended to play as Yuri on Manual or Semi-Auto to have full control over your character. For Estelle, set her to Semi-Auto or Auto with a healing-focused strategy. Karol can be on Semi-Auto or Auto with an offensive strategy.
    • Targeting: Focus your attacks on the Goliath. Ignore the smaller enemies it might summon initially, as they are often dealt with by your AI companions.
    • Goliath's Attacks: The Goliath has powerful physical attacks. Be ready to guard or use Artes with invincibility frames. It also has a ground pound attack that can stun.
    • Over Limit: Don't hesitate to use Over Limit when available, especially with Yuri, to unleash powerful combos and Burst Artes. This is a great way to deal significant damage and interrupt the boss's attacks.
    • Estelle's Survival: Protect Estelle! If she falls, your healing capabilities will be severely hampered. Use items to revive her immediately if she's knocked out. Consider using a Guard Ring on her if you have one.
    • Repede's Role: While Repede might seem to struggle, he still contributes damage. Ensure his battle tactics are set to "Attack Freely" or "All-Out Attack" to maximize his offensive output.
