Heliord

Upon arriving in Heliord, you'll find yourself in a city under Imperial control. There are several key areas to explore and items to collect before moving forward with the main story. Take your time to gather resources and prepare for upcoming challenges.

City Exploration & Item Collection

Start by thoroughly exploring the various districts of Heliord. Keep an eye out for hidden chests and interactive elements.

  • West Gate: As you enter, immediately check the area near the gate. You'll find a chest containing a Life Bottle.
  • Central Plaza: Head towards the main plaza. There's a small alcove or corner near the fountain where you can locate a chest with a Panacea Bottle.
  • Commercial District: This area is bustling with shops.
    • Look behind the item shop for a hidden chest containing 500 Gald.
    • Near the weapon shop, you might spot a sparkle on the ground; interact with it to receive a Specific.
  • Residential Area: Explore the residential houses.
    • Inside one of the houses (often the one furthest to the north-west), you can find a chest containing a Magic Lens x3.
    • Another house might have a Limit Bottle in a visible chest.
  • Inn: Before leaving, consider resting at the inn to restore HP/TP and trigger any potential skits. There's often a chest near the entrance or in a corner of the lobby containing a Treat.

Story Progression

Once you've finished exploring and collecting items, proceed with the main objective. Your primary goal in Heliord is to investigate the situation with the blastia and the Imperial Knights.

  1. Head to the Central Plaza: A cutscene will trigger as you approach the central area, introducing you to some key characters and advancing the plot.
  2. Speak with the Townspeople: Engage with various NPCs around the city. They often provide valuable information about the current political climate and the unrest caused by the blastia situation. Pay particular attention to conversations near the public blastia.
  3. Approach the Public Blastia: A specific event will occur when you get close to the large public blastia in the central area. This will lead to further dialogue and potentially a confrontation.
  4. Follow the Imperial Knights: After the event at the blastia, you'll be directed to follow the Imperial Knights to a specific location, likely the Imperial Headquarters or a detention area within Heliord. This will trigger the next major sequence of events.
