Gaius is a recurring boss and a master swordsman. He is incredibly fast and deals high physical damage. His primary weakness is Dark, but he has no significant elemental resistances otherwise. Gaius's attacks include: Blade of Fury, a rapid sword combo; Infernal Torrent, a powerful area-of-effect attack; and his mystic arte, Grand Guignol. He frequently guards, so breaking his guard is crucial. Use Ludger's hammer attacks or Milla's Rock Lance. When Gaius charges for a powerful attack, try to interrupt him with a linked arte or Ludger's Chromatus. Keep your distance when he uses Infernal Torrent. Jude's Snap Pivot is excellent for dodging his rapid attacks. Recommended party: Ludger (Dual Blades/Hammer), Jude (for healing and evasion), Rowen (for elemental attacks and support spells), and Alvin (for breaking and high damage). Reward: Gaius's Sword.
