Understanding the control scheme is your first step. Tales of Zestiria utilizes a standard action RPG control layout. Movement is typically handled by the left analog stick, while the right analog stick controls the camera. The 'X' (PlayStation) or 'A' (Xbox) button is generally used for interaction, confirming selections, and initiating basic attacks. The 'Circle' (PlayStation) or 'B' (Xbox) button is for guarding or canceling actions. 'Square' (PlayStation) or 'X' (Xbox) is for Artes, and 'Triangle' (PlayStation) or 'Y' (Xbox) is for opening the menu. During combat, directional inputs combined with the Artes button will execute different attacks. Familiarize yourself with these inputs in the tutorial area.
