Welcome to the Mt. Mabinogio Ruins, your first true dungeon experience in Tales of Zestiria! This ancient site holds both valuable treasures and formidable challenges. Prepare for exploration and combat as you delve into its depths.

Exploration and Initial Finds

  1. Upon entering, head straight forward. You'll quickly encounter a Discovery Point. Interact with it to log the ruins into your adventurer's notebook.
  2. Continue along the main path. You'll soon spot a chest containing a valuable Life Bottle. These are crucial for reviving fallen allies in battle, so always keep a few on hand.
  3. As you proceed, you'll reach a fork in the path. Take the left route first. This leads to another chest holding a Panacea Bottle, excellent for curing status ailments.
  4. Return to the fork and now take the right path. This will lead you deeper into the ruins.

Navigating the Depths

The ruins are home to various enemies. Be prepared for encounters with Goblins and other early-game foes. Focus on learning Sorey's combat mechanics, especially his Artes and the importance of dodging.

  • Combat Tip: Practice chaining Artes together and utilizing your support character, Mikleo, for ranged attacks and healing. Remember to exploit enemy weaknesses if you can identify them.
  1. You'll eventually come across a larger chamber. Look for a chest tucked away in a corner; it contains Apple Gels, essential for restoring HP during and after battles.
  2. Proceed through the chamber. The path will narrow, leading you to a section with some crumbling architecture. Keep an eye out for a hidden alcove on your right. Inside, you'll find a chest with Orange Gels, which restore SC (Spirit Chain) for your Artes.
  3. Continue following the main route. You'll encounter more enemies, so ensure your party's HP and SC are topped off.

Reaching the Objective

Your ultimate goal in the Mt. Mabinogio Ruins is to reach the deepest part where an important event will trigger. There are no complex puzzles here, primarily straightforward navigation and combat.

  1. The path will eventually lead you to a large, open area. This is your cue that you're nearing the end of this section.
  2. Before triggering any cutscenes, fully explore this final area. There's often a last hidden chest or two. Search diligently for a chest containing a Verbena, a permanent stat-boosting item.
  3. Once you're satisfied with your exploration and item collection, approach the central point of this large area to initiate the next story segment.

After the events unfold, you will automatically exit the Mt. Mabinogio Ruins and proceed to Elysia, Home of the Seraphim.
