This level is packed with civilians who need protecting, adding an extra layer of urgency to the combat. Players will start in the mall's entrance, immediately facing waves of Foot Soldiers and Mousers. Smash open display cases, kiosks, and food court tables to find health-restoring pizzas and score items. The mall's layout offers several distinct areas, including clothing stores, electronics shops, and an arcade, each with its own unique set of enemies and environmental interactions. In the clothing stores, you might find mannequins that can be used as temporary shields or weapons. The electronics shops could have breakable displays that explode. The arcade area might feature malfunctioning arcade machines that create hazards. Be mindful of the civilians; if they are hit by enemy attacks, your score will decrease. Prioritize protecting them while engaging the Foot Clan. New enemy types might include Foot Soldiers disguised as shoppers or specialized Foot Clan units equipped with riot shields. The boss of the 'Crystal Palace Mall' is often a powerful Foot Clan lieutenant or a heavily armored robotic enemy. Strategies will involve using the mall's layout for cover, luring enemies into traps, and quickly dispatching threats to protect the civilians. Successfully clearing the mall will allow the turtles to continue their pursuit of Shredder and his allies.
