Walkthrough: Episode 16 - Technodrome Takedown
Welcome, Turtles, to the grand finale! Episode 16 is a relentless assault on the Technodrome itself. This guide will help you navigate its treacherous corridors and face the ultimate foe. Be prepared for multiple boss encounters and a gauntlet of Foot Clan soldiers, Mousers, and Krang's elite.
Initial Assault & Outer Core
The episode begins with your team launching directly into the Technodrome. Immediately, you'll be swarmed by various Foot Clan members. Focus on clearing them out quickly to avoid being overwhelmed.
- First Area: You'll encounter standard Foot Soldiers, Elite Foot Soldiers, and a few Rock Soldiers. Utilize your special attacks and team-up moves to clear the screen efficiently.
- Item Location: Keep an eye out for destructible crates and barrels. The first area often contains a Pizza Slice for health regeneration and a Power-Up Soda to boost your special meter.
- Strategy: Prioritize enemies with ranged attacks, like the Foot Soldiers with blasters, to minimize incoming damage. Use environmental hazards if available, such as exploding barrels, to clear groups.
Krang's Laboratory Gauntlet
After the initial skirmish, you'll proceed into Krang's twisted laboratory. This section is a series of interconnected rooms, each presenting a new challenge.
Room 1: Mouser Mayhem
This room is filled with an endless supply of Mousers. They are fast and can chip away at your health quickly.
- Strategy: Use wide-area attacks and aerial combos to hit multiple Mousers at once. Don't let them surround you. A well-timed Super Attack can clear the entire screen.
- Hidden Item: Look for a hidden breakable wall on the far left of the room. Destroying it reveals a secret passage leading to a Full Pizza.
Room 2: Rock Soldier Barrage
Expect a heavy concentration of Rock Soldiers and Stone Warriors here. Their high defense makes them tough opponents.
- Strategy: Use charged attacks and throws to break their guard. Team-up attacks are particularly effective against these armored foes. Be mindful of their ground-pound attacks.
- Collectible: In the center of this room, you'll find a Secret Diary Page from Krang, offering a glimpse into his plans.
Room 3: Laser Grid Corridor
This corridor features a series of moving laser grids that deal significant damage upon contact. You'll also face a mix of Foot Soldiers and Roadkill Rodney robots.
- Strategy: Time your movements carefully to avoid the lasers. Focus on defeating the enemies quickly so you can concentrate on dodging. The Roadkill Rodneys can be thrown into the lasers for instant destruction.
- Power-Up: A Super Attack Orb is often found near the end of this corridor, useful for the upcoming boss.
Boss Battle: Bebop & Rocksteady (Enhanced)
Just before reaching the Technodrome's core, you'll face an enhanced version of Bebop and Rocksteady. They have new moves and increased health.
- Bebop's New Attack: He now has a spinning charge attack that covers a wider area. Dodge sideways to avoid it.
- Rocksteady's New Attack: He can perform a powerful ground slam that creates a shockwave. Jump over it or block.
- Strategy: Focus fire on one of them first to reduce the pressure. Use your Super Attacks and special moves when they are grouped together. Keep moving and utilize the environment to your advantage. If you have a Power-Up Soda, now is a good time to use it.
- Reward: Defeating them grants a significant score bonus and often drops a Pizza Slice.
The Technodrome Core: Final Confrontation
After defeating Bebop and Rocksteady, you'll finally reach the Technodrome's core, where Krang awaits in his colossal battle suit.
Phase 1: Krang's Mech Suit
Krang's mech suit has several devastating attacks:
- Laser Eye Beams: Krang will fire continuous laser beams from his eyes. These track your movement. Keep moving and use dash attacks to get behind him.
- Fist Slam: He'll attempt to smash you with his giant fists. Dodge out of the way and counter-attack his arms.
- Missile Barrage: The mech will launch a volley of missiles. These can be destroyed or dodged.
- Strategy: Your primary goal is to damage the mech's arms and legs. After taking enough damage, Krang will become temporarily vulnerable. Unleash your most powerful combos and Super Attacks during this window. Watch for the small Foot Soldiers that occasionally spawn; defeat them for extra health if needed.
Phase 2: Krang's Brain Form
Once the mech suit is destroyed, Krang will emerge in his true brain form, piloting a smaller, more agile flying platform. This phase is faster and requires precise dodging.
- Energy Orbs: Krang will fire a spread of energy orbs. These can be tricky to avoid; try to find gaps in the pattern.
- Dash Attack: He will occasionally dash across the screen, damaging anything in his path. Time your jumps or dodges carefully.
- Teleportation: Krang will frequently teleport around the arena, making him hard to pin down.
- Strategy: Wait for Krang to finish an attack, then quickly close the distance and unleash a combo. Aerial attacks are very effective here. Use your Super Attacks when he's stationary or vulnerable after a dash. This is the final push, so don't hold back any remaining special meter!
Congratulations, hero! With Krang defeated and the Technodrome in ruins, you've saved the world once again. Enjoy the well-deserved ending!
