Public Executions & Propaganda Broadcasts
Within the gritty urban landscape of The Division: Resurgence, players will encounter dynamic world events known as Public Executions and Propaganda Broadcasts. These events offer glimpses into the brutal realities and manipulative tactics employed by the various factions vying for control of New York City. Participating in or observing these events can provide valuable intel, experience, and sometimes even direct rewards, making them worthwhile diversions from standard missions.
Public Executions are often grim spectacles where a faction, such as the Rikers, publicly punishes perceived traitors or enemies. These events typically involve a captive being held by a group of faction members, and You can intervene to save the captive or allow the execution to proceed. Intervening in a Public Execution often triggers a combat encounter, where players must quickly eliminate the faction members to prevent the death of the captive. Successfully saving the captive usually results in a reward, which can include experience points, crafting materials, or even a piece of gear. The challenge lies in the suddenness of these events and the potential for being outnumbered if not prepared. A quick reaction and the use of crowd-control abilities, like a Shock Trap, can be highly effective.
Propaganda Broadcasts, on the other hand, are less about direct combat and more about information warfare. Factions will set up mobile broadcast stations to disseminate their messages, often attempting to demoralize opposing factions or rally support. You can disrupt these broadcasts by destroying the equipment or eliminating the personnel responsible. Doing so can earn players experience and sometimes deny the enemy faction a temporary buff or advantage. These broadcasts often occur in more open areas, making players vulnerable to enemy patrols while they attempt to complete the objective. A stealthy approach or the use of a tactical skill like the Decoy can be beneficial. Both event types are desed to be emergent, appearing dynamically as players explore the vast open-world, adding to the unpredictable and engaging AAA experience on mobile.
