Resource Management & Farming
Effective resource management and strategic farming are fundamental to success in The Division Resurgence. The urban landscape of New York City is teeming with opportunities to gather the materials and currencies needed to craft, upgrade, and maintain your agent's effectiveness. Neglecting resource acquisition can severely hinder your progression, making it difficult to acquire the best gear and consumables.
The primary resources you'll be managing include Weapon Parts, Electronics, and Fabric, which are essential for crafting and repairing gear. These are most commonly found by dismantling unwanted weapons and armor pieces. Therefore, actively engaging in combat and looting fallen enemies is a direct way to generate these crafting components. Prioritizing the dismantling of lower-tier gear when you have a surplus of inventory space is a good practice. Furthermore, specific activities, such as completing Control Points or clearing out enemy patrols in the open world, often yield caches containing several crafting materials.
Another critical resource is Field Data, which is primarily used for recalibrating gear attributes. Field Data is earned through completing missions, participating in daily and weekly assments, and by extracting items from the Dark Zone. Players looking to optimize their gear rolls should focus on completing these activities consistently. The amount of Field Data awarded can vary, with higher difficulty missions and more challenging assments typically offering greater rewards.
Phoenix Credits are a premium currency that can be used to purchase high-end gear, weapon mods, and crafting materials from specific vendors. While they can be earned through various in-game activities, including completing specific missions and challenges, they are also available for purchase with real money. For players aiming for specific gear sets or powerful weapons like the MDR Rifle, managing and strategically spending Phoenix Credits is important. Consider saving them for essential upgrades rather than impulse purchases.
Farming routes can be highly effective for resource acquisition. Identifying areas with a high density of lootable containers and enemy patrols, such as the areas around the Times Square or the Hudson Yards, can sificantly boost your material gathering efficiency. Regularly clearing these areas and returning after a set period allows for a consistent influx of resources. Additionally, participating in the Dark Zone, while risky, offers unique loot and a chance to acquire valuable resources that are harder to come by in the PvE zones. Always ensure you have adequate inventory space before embarking on extended farming sessions.
