Arena's dungeons are often vast and labyrinthine. The in-game automap (accessed by pressing 'M') is your best friend. It maps out areas you've explored, but it doesn't show hidden passages or future areas. Pay close attention to your map, and consider drawing your own notes for complex dungeons. Look for patterns in dungeon generation, and always mark areas you haven't fully explored or where you've found a locked door you couldn't open. Getting lost in a dungeon without a way out can be a death sentence, especially if you run out of resources.
