At a certain point in the main quest, you will be presented with opportunities to align yourself with one of the major powers seeking the Totem of Tiber Septim. These include the Emperor, the King of Worms (Mannimarco), various regional kings and queens, and even the Underking. Each faction offers a different path and ultimately leads to a different ending. Consider their motivations and your own moral compass before making a decision. Once you commit to a faction, you will receive specific quests from them, often involving sabotaging rival factions or retrieving components for the Totem. Your reputation with other factions will likely decrease, so choose wisely. Some factions are more difficult to work with than others, requiring specific skills or alignments.
