Levitation & Water Walking
Levitation and Water Walking are powerful magical abilities that offer unparalleled freedom of movement across Vvardenfell, allowing players to bypass terrain obstacles, reach hidden areas, and traverse the landscape with ease. Mastering these spells is a sificant advantage.
Levitation allows the caster to fly through the air, ascending to great heights and moving freely over land and water. This is invaluable for reaching inaccessible locations, bypassing dangerous enemies, or simply enjoying the breathtaking vistas of Morrowind from a unique perspective. Water Walking, on the other hand, enables the caster to move across the surface of water as if it were solid ground, opening up new routes and shortcuts.
Both abilities can be acquired through several means:
- Spell Purchase: Spells for Levitation and Water Walking can be purchased from Mages Guild members or other spell vendors. The most common Levitation spell is 'Almsivi Intervention', which teleports you to the nearest Temple, and 'Divine Intervention', which teleports you to the Imperial Legion. However, specific Levitation spells like 'Feather' or 'Jump' can be found.
- Enchanting Items: Many enchanted items found throughout Morrowind or created by You can grant the ability to Levitate or Water Walk. These enchanted items are often highly sought after.
- Potions: Potions of Levitation and Water Walking can be brewed by alchemists or found as loot. These offer temporary use of the abilities.
When using Levitation, be mindful of your fatigue. Sustained Levitation can drain your stamina, potentially causing you to fall. It's also wise to save your game before attempting to fly over dangerous areas or into unknown territories. Water Walking is generally safer but can still lead you into unexpected encounters if not used cautiously. These abilities are not just conveniences; they are essential tools for exploration and can unlock secrets that would otherwise remain hidden.
