The journey in Morrowind is one of continuous growth and adaptation. Your character's development is not linear but rather a reflection of your choices and playstyle. By strategically investing in attributes and skills, you can craft a unique hero capable of overcoming any challenge Vvardenfell throws at you. This section explores the core pillars of character development.

Attributes: These are the fundamental statistics that define your character's raw potential. They influence various skills and capabilities. Key attributes include:

• Strength: Affects melee damage and carry capacity.
• Intelligence: Determines Magicka pool and spell effectiveness.
• Willpower: Influences Magicka regeneration and resistance to certain magical effects.
• Endurance: Affects Health and Stamina.
• Agility: Influences hit chance, evasion, and ranged attack effectiveness.
• Speed: Determines movement speed and Fatigue regeneration.
• Personality: Affects NPC disposition and success in speechcraft.
• Luck: Provides a general bonus to all skills and chance-based events.

Skills: These are proficiencies that improve with use and training. They are divided into three main categories:

• Combat Skills: Focus on physical prowess, weapon mastery, and armor usage (e.g., Long Blade, Heavy Armor, Axe).
• Magic Skills: Govern your ability to cast spells across various schools (e.g., Destruction, Restoration, Illusion).
• Stealth Skills: Aid in subterfuge, evasion, and social manipulation (e.g., Sneak, Speechcraft, Lockpicking).

Skill Progression:

• Learning by Doing: Most skills improve naturally as you use them in-game.
• Trainers: NPCs known as trainers can be paid to increase your skill levels.
• Attribute Bonuses: At character creation and upon leveling up, you gain attribute points. These points are crucial for maximizing your skill gains. A higher attribute score allows for faster skill increases.
• Major and Minor Skills: At character creation, you select 8 skills as Major and Minor. Major skills increase faster and contribute more sificantly to your overall level progression.

Birthss: Choosing a births at character creation provides unique passive bonuses or active abilities, further shaping your character's strengths and weaknesses. For example, The Mage births sificantly boosts your Magicka reserves.
