Morrowind's society is a complex web of competing factions, each with its own goals, ideologies, and influence. Your interactions with these groups will shape your reputation, unlock new opportunities, and determine how the world perceives you. Navigating these relationships is a crucial aspect of mastering the game.

The primary factions in Morrowind include the Great Houses (Hlaalu, Redoran, and Telvanni), the Imperial Legion, the Mages Guild, the Fighters Guild, and the Thieves Guild. Each faction offers a unique questline that delves into their specific lore, operations, and internal politics. By joining and progressing within these factions, you gain access to specialized training, unique equipment, and the ability to influence events within the province.

Your reputation with each faction is tracked independently. Completing quests for a faction generally increases your standing with them, while acting against their interests can lower it.
