Mankar Camoran is the leader of the Mythic Dawn and a powerful mage. You will confront him in his paradise, Gaiar Alata, during the main quest 'Paradise'. This is a challenging fight against a formidable spellcaster. Mankar Camoran primarily uses Destruction magic, including powerful fire and shock spells, and can summon Daedra to aid him.
Strategy:
- Magic Resistance: Equip items that provide high Magic Resistance or cast Resist Magic spells before the fight. This will sificantly reduce the damage from his spells.
- Summoned Daedra: Mankar will summon Daedra (often Clannfears or Dremora). Prioritize eliminating these summons quickly, as they can overwhelm you. Area-of-effect spells or wide-swinging weapons are effective.
- Melee Approach: If you are a warrior, try to close the distance quickly and engage him in melee. Mages are generally weaker in close combat. Use power attacks and stagger effects to interrupt his spellcasting.
- Ranged Approach: As a mage or archer, maintain distance and use your most powerful offensive spells or enchanted arrows. Silence spells can be incredibly effective against him, preventing him from casting.
- Potions: Bring plenty of Restore Health and Resist Magic potions.
Weaknesses: Vulnerable to Silence and direct melee pressure. Rewards: The Amulet of Kings (reclaimed), various magical items from his body.
