Effectively managing your equipment and inventory is fundamental to survival and success in Oblivion. Understanding weight limits, item types, and storage is crucial.

Your character has a limited carry weight, determined by their Strength attribute and Endurance. Exceeding this limit will slow your movement speed and can eventually cause you to take damage. Therefore, prioritizing what you carry is essential. Regularly visit merchants or your player home to offload excess items.

Item Categories:

• Weapons: Swords, axes, maces, daggers, and bows. Each has different damage ratings, attack speeds, and reach.
• Armor: Helmets, cuirasses, gauntlets, greaves, and boots. These provide physical protection and can be made of light or heavy materials.
• Shields: Offer additional defense and can be enchanted.
• Apparel: Rings, amulets, and clothing that provide magical bonuses.
• Potions: Consumables for healing, buffing, and utility.
• Scrolls: Single-use spells.
• Ingredients: Used for alchemy.
