Housing & Property

Establishing a base of operations in Cyrodiil is essential for any adventurer. Oblivion offers players the opportunity to acquire various forms of housing, from humble abodes to grand estates, each providing a safe haven and storage for your hard-earned loot. Owning property also serves as a tangible representation of your progress and influence within the world.

Player housing can be acquired through several means. Some homes are purchased directly from real estate agents in cities like Skingrad or Chorrol, while others are rewards for completing specific questlines, such as those for the Fighter's Guild or the Mages Guild. The most prestigious properties, like the Imperial City Waterfront home, often require sificant investment or the completion of challenging tasks.

Types of Player Housing

  • Apartments/Small Homes: Typically found in cities, these are the most affordable options, offering basic storage and a place to rest. Examples include the Imperial City Waterfront shack.
  • Medium Houses: Larger homes with more storage and amenities, often located in or near cities.
  • Manors/Estates: The most luxurious properties, offering extensive space, multiple rooms, and often unique features. Examples include Rosethorn Hall in Skingrad or Battlehorn Castle (with the Knights of the Nine DLC).
  • Guild Quarters: Upon reaching high ranks in factions like the Mages Guild or Fighter's Guild, you may gain access to specialized living quarters.

When purchasing property, consider its location, the amount of storage space available, and any unique benefits it might offer. Some homes come partially furnished, while others require you to purchase furniture separately. Investing in property not only provides a sense of accomplishment but also serves as a practical hub for managing your inventory and preparing for your next adventure.
