Example: Navigating Stonefalls
Stonefalls is one of the starting zones for the Ebonheart Pact, offering a rich introduction to the game's mechanics and lore. Here’s a glimpse into what a Stonefalls guide would cover:
Main Quest: "Anchors from the Harbour"
- Start Point: Speak with Captain Rana on the docks of Davon's Watch.
- Objective 1: Investigate the Dark Anchors: Travel east to the Ash Mountain Dolmen (located near the Ash Mountain Wayshrine).
- Strategy: Engage the Daedric invaders. Focus on interrupting the Daedric Summoners to prevent them from summoning additional adds. The final boss, typically a Daedric Titan or Harkyn the Skald, will require sustained damage.
- Reward: Upon completion, you'll receive experience, gold, and a Stonefalls Defender's Ring (a basic green quality ring).
Delve Guide: Crow's Wood
Crow's Wood is a public dungeon located just north of Davon's Watch, known for its shadowy atmosphere and challenging boss encounters.
- Location: Directly north of Davon's Watch, accessible via a small path leading into the woods.
- Bosses & Drops:
- Crow Mother: A large, avian-like creature. Avoid her frontal cone attack. Drops a piece of the Stonefalls' Pledge set.
- Shadowrend: A spectral wolf. Interrupt its howl to prevent it from empowering its allies. Drops a piece of the Stonefalls' Pledge set.
- The Shadow Guard (Final Boss): A dual-wielding spectral warrior. He frequently teleports and uses a whirlwind attack. Block or dodge his heavy attacks. Drops a guaranteed Crow's Wood Chest Piece (unique item) and a piece of the Stonefalls' Pledge set.
- Skyshard: One Skyshard is located deep within Crow's Wood, usually near the final boss chamber.
World Boss: The Matron of Woe
The Matron of Woe is a formidable Daedric creature found in the northern reaches of Stonefalls.
- Location: Northeast of Ebonheart, in a corrupted glade.
- Strategy:
- Phase 1: The Matron summons Clannfear adds. Prioritize taking them down to reduce incoming damage.
- Phase 2 (Enrage): At ~50% health, she will begin casting a powerful AoE spell, indicated by a large red circle. Move out of this area immediately.
- Key Ability: Grasping Tendrils - Roots players in place. Break free immediately to avoid follow-up attacks.
- Recommended Group Size: 2-4 players. Can be soloed by experienced players with strong self-healing.
- Drops: Guaranteed purple quality Overland Set piece (e.g., Stonefalls' Pact set) and a chance for a Stonefalls Treasure Map.
