Call of Valor
The Call of Valor is a powerful Dragon Shout that summons the spirits of ancient Nord heroes to fight alongside you. This shout is particularly useful in challenging combat encounters, providing much-needed support and distraction against formidable foes. Learning and mastering this shout can turn the tide of battle in your favor.
To acquire the Call of Valor shout, you must find its Word Walls. The first word, 'Tsun,' is learned during the main questline, specifically after completing 'The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller' and speaking with the Greybeards. The subsequent words are found in specific locations, often guarded by formidable enemies or hidden within ancient Nordic ruins.
Acquiring the Words of Power
The Call of Valor shout consists of three words:
- Tsun: Obtained during the main questline after 'The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller.'
- Hok: Found on a Word Wall within the Nordic ruin of Forelhost, located in the mountains east of Riften. This ruin is often populated by Draugr and Dragon Priests.
- Vah: Located on a Word Wall within the Nordic ruin of Skuldafn. This is a late-game dungeon accessible only during the main quest 'The Path of Knowledge.'
Using Call of Valor Effectively
Once you have learned all three words, you will need to use a Dragon Soul to unlock each word's power. When activated, three spectral heroes will appear and attack your enemies. They are quite powerful and can deal sificant damage. This shout is ideal for situations where you are outnumbered or facing a single, very strong opponent.
Consider using Call of Valor when:
- Facing a large group of enemies.
- Engaging a powerful Dragon Priest or a Dragon.
- You need a distraction to escape or reposition.
- You are playing on higher difficulties where combat is more challenging.
The summoned heroes last for a limited time, so use their presence strategically to maximize their impact on the battlefield.
