From chickens to cows and goats, these animals contribute to your wealth and crafting needs.

To engage in animal husbandry, you first need to purchase a plot of land and build a farmhouse. Once your farmhouse is established, you can purchase livestock from local merchants or farmers. The most common animals you can raise are chickens, cows, and goats. Each animal provides different resources and has specific needs.

Types of Livestock and Their Resources:

• Chickens: These provide eggs, which can be used in cooking recipes or sold. They are relatively low-maintenance and can be purchased from the steward of your homestead.
• Cows: Cows produce milk, a valuable ingredient for cooking and a good source of income. They are also purchased from the steward.
• Goats: Goats provide goat horns and goat cheese, both useful for cooking and alchemy. They are also acquired through the steward.

Building and Managing Your Farm:

1. Acquire Land: Purchase a plot of land from the Jarl of Hjaalmarch (Near Morthal), Falkreath (Near Falkreath), or The Pale (Near Dawnstar).
2. Build a Farmhouse: Use the construction kit at your homestead to build a farmhouse.
3. Purchase Livestock: Speak to your steward and select the option to purchase livestock. You can house up to two of each animal type per farm.
4. Resource Collection: Interact with your animals to collect their resources. For example, click on a cow to milk it, or on a chicken to collect eggs.
5. Feeding (Optional but Recommended): While not strictly required for survival, ensuring your animals have access to grazing land or feed can improve their productivity and happiness.
