Western Skyrim offers a variety of locations, including discoverable points of interest and cities that serve as hubs for services and merchants. The zone features both story quests, which tie into the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline, and numerous side quests. Side quests are non-sequential, allowing you to complete them in any order, while repeatable quests can be undertaken multiple times.

  • Riften Locations:
    • Ragged Flagon: Located in the lower levels of Riften. Can be fully furnished with an Alchemy lab and other furnishings for 4,300 coins.
    • Temple of Mara: Speak to Maramal here to obtain the Amulet of Mara, which allows you to broadcast yourself as eligible for marriage.
    • Thieves Guild Headquarters: Found in the sewers, this is a place to fence items, train, and undertake Thieves' Guild Quests.
