Useful Exploits & Glitches (Optional)

Exploit Skyrim's Oghma Infinium glitch and other optional advantages. Learn how players gain powerful boosts through clever use of game mechanics.

While not officially supported, some players utilize exploits and glitches to gain advantages in Skyrim. These can range from minor conveniences to game-breaking power. Use them at your own discretion, as they can sometimes impact game stability or the intended experience.

Common Exploits:

  • Oghma Infinium Exploit: (Patched in later versions) Allowed players to repeatedly use the Oghma Infinium to max out skills.
  • Restoration Potion Loop: Crafting Fortify Restoration potions, drinking them, then unequipping and re-equipping enchanted gear to boost their effects, leading to incredibly powerful enchantments.
  • Whiterun Chest Glitch: A hidden chest near the Skyforge in Whiterun that contains all of the Khajiit caravan's inventory.
  • Trainer Glitch: Paying a trainer for skill levels, then pickpocketing your gold back.
  • Infinite Gold Glitch: Selling an item to a merchant, then buying it back for less than you sold it, slowly accumulating gold.
  • Follower Duplication Glitch: Certain followers can be used to duplicate items.

Disclaimer:

Many of these exploits have been patched in later versions of Skyrim (Special Edition, Anniversary Edition). Using them may require playing on older versions or without certain updates. Use with caution, as they can diminish the challenge and intended progression of the game.
