With the Elder Scroll in hand, you return to the Throat of the World to use it and witness the ancient Nords' battle with Alduin. This quest is a unique experience, transporting you back in time to learn the Dragonrend Shout directly from its creators.
Objectives:
- Read the Elder Scroll at the Time-Wound.
- Learn the 'Dragonrend' Shout.
- Defeat Alduin.
Strategy:
Return to the Throat of the World and speak with Paarthurnax. He will direct you to the Time-Wound. Equip the Elder Scroll and activate it. You will be transported to the past, witnessing the ancient Nords use Dragonrend against Alduin. Pay close attention to the words they use, as you will automatically learn the Dragonrend Shout. After the vision, Alduin will appear in the present. This is your first major battle against Alduin. Use your newly acquired Dragonrend Shout to force him to land, then unleash your most powerful attacks. Alduin will eventually flee, but you will have proven your strength and learned a crucial Shout.
