Grappler characters thrive on getting close to their opponents and landing devastating command grabs that deal massive damage. While they may lack speed or projectiles, their throws are often unblockable and can quickly turn the tide of a match. Examples include Goro Daimon, Clark Still, and Ralf Jones.

Key Characteristics:
- Command Grabs: Unblockable throws that are their primary damage source.
- High Damage: Once a grab lands, the damage output is usually very high.
- Strong Normals: Often have powerful, albeit slower, normal attacks.
- Limited Mobility: May be slower or have fewer evasive options.
Build/Playstyle Tips:
The core of a grappler's game is conditioning your opponent to block, then hitting them with an unblockable grab. Practice tick throws (light attack into command grab) and mix-ups between strikes and throws. Learn how to approach opponents safely, using dashes, rolls, or even jump-ins to get into grab range. Be patient and look for openings after your opponent commits to an attack. Grapplers can be excellent 'Anchor' characters, as a single grab with full meter can lead to a huge comeback.
