Unlike traditional RPGs, The King of Fighters XIII does not feature a conventional 'items and equipment' system. There are no weapons, armor, or consumable items to collect or equip. The game's depth comes entirely from character selection, mastery of their movesets, and strategic gameplay. However, there are 'systems' and 'resources' within the game that function similarly to equipment in terms of enhancing your character's capabilities during a match. Understanding these is crucial for competitive play.
