KOF XIII features various unlockable content that adds to the replayability and customization options. While some content was originally DLC, much of it is now included in modern versions or can be unlocked through gameplay. Here's what you can typically unlock:
- Characters: Some characters, like Billy Kane, Saiki (human form), and NESTS Kyo, might be unlockable by completing specific conditions in Story Mode or Arcade Mode, or by purchasing DLC. Check your game version for specifics.
- Colors: Additional color palettes for characters can often be unlocked by completing Arcade Mode with them, achieving certain scores, or through other gameplay milestones.
- Illustrations: Artwork and character illustrations can be unlocked by completing Story Mode, Arcade Mode, or achieving specific feats in other modes. These are viewable in the Gallery.
- Soundtrack: Music tracks from the game can be unlocked and listened to in the Sound Gallery.
