Arrghus is the boss of the Swamp Palace, a giant eyeball surrounded by smaller eyeballs. The battle takes place in a large, water-filled arena. The Hookshot is crucial for this fight.
Phase 1: Detaching Eyeballs
Arrghus will float around the water, protected by numerous smaller eyeballs. Your objective is to use the Hookshot to pull off these smaller eyeballs one by one. Once a smaller eyeball is pulled off, quickly hit it with your sword to destroy it before it can reattach. Arrghus will occasionally jump and slam into the water, creating shockwaves that you need to avoid. Keep moving and prioritize detaching and destroying the smaller eyeballs.
Phase 2: Exposed Core
After all the smaller eyeballs are removed, Arrghus's large central eye will be exposed. It will then become more aggressive, performing more frequent jump slams. When its main eye is exposed, hit it with your sword. After taking damage, it will eventually re-summon its smaller eyeballs, and you'll need to repeat the process of detaching and destroying them. Continue this cycle until Arrghus is defeated, rescuing Oren and obtaining another Lorule Sage. Ensure you have enough stamina for repeated Hookshot uses.
