Obtaining Irene's Bell

You will acquire Irene's Bell relatively early in your quest, shortly after your first encounter with Yuga and the subsequent transformation of Seres and Princess Zelda into paintings. Follow these steps to get your hands on this essential item:

1. Return to Sanctuary: After the events at Hyrule Castle where Yuga makes his appearance and transforms Seres, head back to the Sanctuary. You'll find Sahasrahla there, concerned about the unfolding events.
2. Speak with Sahasrahla: Sahasrahla will instruct you to seek out Princess Zelda, who he believes is in danger. He will also mention the need for a way to travel quickly.
3. Head to Kakariko Village: Follow Sahasrahla's advice and make your way to Kakariko Village. You can reach it by heading west from the Sanctuary.
4. Locate Irene: In Kakariko Village, you'll find a young witch named Irene. She's usually near the center of the village, often identifiable by her distinctive witch's hat and broomstick.
5. The First Encounter: Speak with Irene. She'll be quite flustered and will mention that she's lost something important. She'll then ask for your help.
6. Receive the Bell: After a brief conversation, Irene will realize she needs to get somewhere quickly and, in her haste, will give you her magical bell, the Irene's Bell, so that she can summon you when needed. This effectively grants you the ability to use it for fast travel.

Using Irene's Bell for Fast Travel

Once you have Irene's Bell, using it is straightforward. It functions as your primary fast travel mechanism throughout both Hyrule and Lorule.

• Activating the Bell: To use Irene's Bell, simply select it from your item menu (assigned to X or Y) and press the corresponding button.
• Choosing a Destination: A map will appear on the bottom screen, displaying all the Weather Vanes you have activated. Touch the Weather Vane you wish to travel to, and Irene will instantly transport Link there.
• Weather Vane Activation: You can only travel to Weather Vanes that you have already activated. To activate a Weather Vane, simply approach it and interact with it. Link will save his progress, and the Weather Vane will then become a selectable destination on Irene's Bell map.
• Strategic Placement: Weather Vanes are strategically placed near important dungeons, towns, and points of interest. activate every Weather Vane you encounter to maximize your fast travel options.

• Collecting Maiamais: When hunting for Maiamais, using Irene's Bell to quickly jump between regions can significantly speed up your search.
