Guardian Stalkers
Guardian Stalkers are a formidable early-game threat, but with the right approach, they become manageable. Their primary attack is a powerful laser beam that can deal sificant damage. The key to defeating them lies in parrying their laser with a shield. A perfectly timed parry will reflect the beam back, stunning the Guardian and leaving it vulnerable to attack. Practice this technique with weaker Guardians first, perhaps those found near the ruins on the Great Plateau. Alternatively, using Ancient Arrows fired from a bow is an instant kill, but these are rare and expensive, best saved for dire situations or when you need to quickly clear a path.
Lizalfos
Lizalfos come in various elemental flavors (Green, Blue, Black, and even Fire-breathing and Electric variants). Their agility makes them difficult to hit with melee attacks. They often leap and strike quickly. Using the Stasis Rune can freeze them in place, allowing for a few free hits. Elemental Lizalfos require specific resistances: Fire Lizalfos are best fought with Flamebreaker Armor or by using ice-based attacks, while Electric Lizalfos can be countered with shock-resistant gear or by luring them into water. Their tails can be severed for valuable crafting materials.
Lynels
Lynels are arguably the toughest non-boss enemies in the game. They possess immense strength, speed, and several devastating attacks, including charges, sword swings, and fire breath. The most effective strategy involves learning their attack patterns and using Flurry Rushes. When a Lynel performs a sweeping attack, dodge at the last second to trigger a Flurry Rush, allowing for a rapid series of hits. Mounting a Lynel after stunning it with an arrow to the face is also highly effective, as you can land multiple hits without expending weapon durability. Consider using powerful one-handed weapons for mounting attacks, as they allow for faster strikes.
Wizzrobes
Wizzrobes are elemental mages that float and cast spells from a distance. Fire Wizzrobes summon fireballs, Ice Wizzrobes create ice attacks, and Electric Wizzrobes unleash lightning. The most effective way to deal with them is to close the distance quickly and attack them with melee weapons. However, they often teleport away. Using elemental arrows that are opposite to their element can be very effective. For example, ice arrows can extinguish Fire Wizzrobes, and fire arrows can melt Ice Wizzrobes. If you're struggling to hit them, the Bomb Rune can sometimes disrupt their casting.
