Remote Bomb Mastery

The Remote Bomb Rune is your first and perhaps most versatile Sheikah Slate ability. Beyond simply breaking ore deposits and destroying weak walls, it can be used offensively and for traversal. By strategically placing bombs and detonating them in quick succession, you can create a chain reaction to damage enemies or clear obstacles from afar. Experiment with dropping bombs from high places and detonating them as they fall for a more potent blast. You can also use bombs to launch yourself into the air, allowing for extended glide times or to reach otherwise inaccessible ledges. Mastering the timing of bomb placement and detonation is crucial for efficient combat and exploration.

Stasis Rune: Beyond Freezing

The Stasis Rune's ability to freeze objects and enemies in time is invaluable. While its primary use is to halt moving targets for a free attack, its advanced applications are far more extensive. You can freeze enemies and then hit them multiple times with weapons, storing kinetic energy that is released upon Stasis's expiration, dealing massive damage. This is particularly effective against tougher foes like Lynels. Furthermore, Stasis can be used on environmental objects. Freezing a boulder and hitting it repeatedly with a weapon can launch it great distances, useful for solving puzzles or even as an offensive projectile. You can also freeze platforms or enemies to create temporary bridges or to prevent them from falling off ledges.

Magnesis Rune: Manipulating the Environment

The Magnesis Rune allows you to manipulate metallic objects. While its puzzle-solving applications are obvious, it can also be a powerful combat tool. If an enemy is standing near a metallic object, such as a metal crate or a discarded weapon, you can lift and slam it into them for sificant damage. This is especially useful against enemies that are resistant to conventional attacks. In certain areas, you can even use Magnesis to create makeshift shields or barriers by moving large metal objects into your path. Remember that Magnesis only works on metallic items, so identify these objects in your surroundings to maximize its utility.

Cryonis Rune: Creating Pathways and Barriers

The Cryonis Rune allows you to create ice pillars from water surfaces. While its primary function is to create platforms for crossing bodies of water, its uses extend further. You can use Cryonis to block enemy pathways, forcing them to find another route or to break through your ice. In combat, you can create ice pillars beneath flying enemies to bring them crashing down. You can also use Cryonis to lift objects or enemies out of the water, making them vulnerable. Experiment with creating multiple pillars in sequence to form more complex structures or to reach higher elevations.
