The Sheikah Slate is your most important tool. You acquire it early in the game. It grants you access to several powerful Runes:
- Magnesis: Manipulate metal objects. Essential for puzzles and moving obstacles.
- Remote Bombs: Create and detonate spherical or cube-shaped bombs. Useful for combat, breaking rocks, and environmental interactions.
- Stasis: Freeze objects or enemies in time. You can then hit them to store kinetic energy, sending them flying when time resumes.
- Cryonis: Create pillars of ice on water surfaces. Great for crossing water, raising objects, or blocking attacks.
- Camera: Take pictures of objects, enemies, and locations. This populates your Hyrule Compendium.
- Sensor+: An upgrade that allows you to track specific items or enemies once you've photographed them.
Mastering these Runes is key to solving puzzles and navigating Hyrule effectively. They are often used in combination.
