The core mechanic of Majora's Mask is the repeating three-day cycle. You have exactly 72 in-game hours before the moon crashes. Playing the Song of Time (A, L, R, A, L, R) will reset the cycle, returning you to Dawn of the First Day. You'll lose all consumable items (Rupees, arrows, bombs) but retain key items, masks, and progress in your Bomber's Notebook. Use the Inverted Song of Time (R, L, A, R, L, A) to slow down time, and the Song of Double Time (C-Right, C-Right, A, A) to fast-forward to a specific hour.
