Magic Meter Upgrades

The Magic Meter is an indispensable tool for any adventurer in Termina, powering essential abilities like the Bubble Blast, Goron Roll, Zora's Barrier, and various magical spells. While you begin your journey with a standard Magic Meter, there are two significant upgrades available that will double your capacity, allowing for more sustained use of your magical powers. Prioritizing these upgrades can make a substantial difference in combat, puzzle-solving, and exploration.

Double Magic Meter

The first upgrade doubles your current Magic Meter, effectively giving you twice the amount of magic to work with. This is a crucial early-game enhancement that should be pursued as soon as possible.

Location: Great Fairy's Fountain, North Clock Town.
Requirements:
- Great Fairy's Mask: You'll need to have collected at least one Stray Fairy from the Southern Swamp (Woodfall Temple area) and returned it to the Great Fairy of Magic in North Clock Town. She will reward you with the Great Fairy's Mask.
- 10 Stray Fairies: After obtaining the Great Fairy's Mask, you must collect all 10 Stray Fairies from the first dungeon, Woodfall Temple. These fairies are often hidden in obscure locations, requiring careful exploration and the use of various masks and items.
Walkthrough:
1. Obtain the Great Fairy's Mask:
  - As Deku Link, head to the Southern Swamp.
  - Enter Woodfall Temple.
  - Locate at least one Stray Fairy within the temple. Many are found by defeating enemies, in pots, or hidden behind breakable walls.
  - Once you have at least one Stray Fairy, exit Woodfall Temple and return to North Clock Town.
  - Enter the Great Fairy's Fountain, located in the northern part of North Clock Town (look for the large, glowing flower).
  - Approach the Great Fairy and she will appear, granting you the Great Fairy's Mask for your efforts.
2. Collect all 10 Woodfall Temple Stray Fairies:
  - Re-enter Woodfall Temple.
  - Equip the Great Fairy's Mask. This mask will glow and hum when a Stray Fairy is nearby, making them easier to locate.
  - Thoroughly explore every room, defeat all enemies, and check all pots, chests, and hidden areas. Some fairies require specific actions, like using the Bow to hit switches or the Deku Flower to reach high platforms.
  - Once you have all 10 Stray Fairies, exit the temple.
3. Claim your Double Magic Meter:
  - Return to the Great Fairy's Fountain in North Clock Town.
  - Approach the Great Fairy once more. With all 10 Stray Fairies from Woodfall Temple, she will bestow upon you the Double Magic Meter, significantly increasing your magical reserves.

Magic Consumption Halved

This second, more advanced upgrade doesn't increase your magic capacity but rather halves the amount of magic consumed by all your abilities and spells. This effectively doubles the duration of your magic, making your existing meter last twice as long. This is arguably the most powerful magic upgrade in the game.

Location: Great Fairy's Fountain, Ikana Canyon.
Requirements:
- Great Fairy's Mask: You will need the Great Fairy's Mask (obtained from the North Clock Town Great Fairy after returning one Stray Fairy from Woodfall Temple).
- 15 Stray Fairies: You must collect all 15 Stray Fairies from the final dungeon, Stone Tower Temple.
- Access to Ikana Canyon: This requires significant progress in the main story, including obtaining the Hookshot and navigating through the various regions of Termina.
Walkthrough:
1. Reach Ikana Canyon:
  - Progress through the game until you have the Hookshot.
  - Head to the eastern side of Termina Field, near the Milk Road exit.
  - Use the Hookshot to cross the gap to the Ikana Canyon area.
2. Locate the Ikana Great Fairy's Fountain:
  - Once in Ikana Canyon, navigate towards the Stone Tower Temple.
  - The Great Fairy's Fountain for Ikana Canyon is located near the entrance to the Stone Tower Temple. It's often hidden or requires a specific action to access, such as using a bomb or the Hookshot to reveal the entrance.
3. Collect all 15 Stone Tower Temple Stray Fairies:
  - Enter Stone Tower Temple.
  - Equip the Great Fairy's Mask. As with Woodfall Temple, the mask will help you pinpoint the locations of the hidden Stray Fairies.
  - Stone Tower Temple is notorious for its complex layout and challenging puzzles, especially when flipped. Many fairies are found in hidden rooms, behind illusions, or guarded by powerful enemies. Be prepared to use all your masks and items, including the Light Arrows, to uncover them all.
  - Thoroughly explore both the normal and inverted versions of the temple, as fairies are present in both configurations.
  - Once you have all 15 Stray Fairies, exit the temple.
4. Claim your Magic Consumption Halved upgrade:
  - Return to the Great Fairy's Fountain in Ikana Canyon.
  - Approach the Great Fairy. With all 15 Stray Fairies from Stone Tower Temple, she will grant you the ultimate magic upgrade: your magic consumption will be halved, making your magical abilities far more efficient.
