The Trading Sequence in Majora's Mask is a crucial, multi-step quest that rewards Link with the powerful Biggoron's Sword, an upgrade to his standard Kokiri Sword. This sequence spans across multiple in-game days and requires careful planning due to the time-sensitive nature of certain events. Successfully completing this chain will significantly ease combat encounters throughout Termina.

Prerequisites

• You must have access to the Goron Mask.
• You need at least 200 Rupees to purchase the Powder Keg.
• It's highly recommended to have the Song of Soaring learned to quickly travel between locations.
• The Inverted Song of Time (playing the Song of Time backward) is invaluable for slowing down time, giving you more leeway.

The Trading Sequence Steps

Step 1: Obtain the Moon's Tear

This is a foundational item for many early game trades. If you haven't already, follow these steps:

1. As Link, head to the Observatory in East Clock Town.
2. Speak with the astronomer inside to look through the telescope.
3. Focus the telescope on the top of the Clock Tower and zoom in until you see the Skull Kid.
4. Watch as the Skull Kid drops a sparkling object.
5. Exit the Observatory and proceed to the area directly in front of the Clock Tower in South Clock Town. You'll find the Moon's Tear on the ground.

Step 2: Acquire the Land Title Deed

The Moon's Tear is your ticket to the first major trade:

1. Take the Moon's Tear to the Business Scrub in South Clock Town, located in front of the Clock Tower.
2. Trade the Moon's Tear for the Land Title Deed. This deed allows you to use the Deku Flower in South Clock Town.

Step 3: Get the Swamp Title Deed

With the Land Title Deed in hand, it's time to venture into the Southern Swamp:

1. Travel to the Southern Swamp.
2. Locate the Deku Palace.
3. Inside the Deku Palace, find the Business Scrub on the right side of the main path, near the entrance to the inner palace.
4. As Deku Link, present the Land Title Deed to this Business Scrub.
5. He will trade you the Swamp Title Deed and allow you to use his Deku Flower.

Step 4: Obtain the Mountain Title Deed

The cold peaks of Snowhead await your next trade:

1. Warp or travel to Snowhead.
2. Head towards the path leading to the Snowhead Temple.
3. Just before the entrance to the temple, look for a Business Scrub on a ledge.
4. As Goron Link, present the Swamp Title Deed to this Business Scrub.
5. He will trade you the Mountain Title Deed and grant you access to his Deku Flower, which is useful for reaching a Piece of Heart.

Step 5: Acquire the Ocean Title Deed

Your journey continues to the Zora Cape, home of the Zoras:

1. Travel to Great Bay Coast and then proceed to Zora Cape.
2. Enter the Zora Hall, the main area of the Zora's dwelling.
3. Locate the Business Scrub hiding in a small alcove to the left of the stage, near the entrance to Mikau's room.
4. As Zora Link, present the Mountain Title Deed to this Business Scrub.
5. He will trade you the Ocean Title Deed and allow you to use his Deku Flower.

Step 6: The Final Trade for the Biggoron's Sword

The last leg of the trading sequence brings you back to the heart of Termina:

1. Return to Ikana Canyon.
2. Head towards the Stone Tower Temple area, specifically the path leading up to the temple itself.
3. You'll find the final Business Scrub on a high ledge to the left of the Stone Tower Temple entrance.
4. As Link (in his Hylian form), present the Ocean Title Deed to this Business Scrub.
5. He will trade you the magnificent Biggoron's Sword! This two-handed sword deals double the damage of the Kokiri Sword, making it incredibly effective against most enemies and bosses.

Congratulations! You have successfully completed the Trading Sequence and obtained one of the most powerful weapons in Termina. Remember that the Biggoron's Sword occupies both of Link's hands, meaning you cannot use a shield while wielding it. However, its raw power often makes up for this defensive drawback.
