Trading Sequence Walkthrough

The Trading Sequence in Majora's Mask is a lengthy chain of item exchanges that ultimately leads to obtaining the powerful and unique Mask of the Garo. This sequence requires careful attention to detail and interaction with several characters across Termina.

The Journey Begins:

  1. The Wooden Sword: Start by obtaining the Wooden Sword from the shopkeeper in the Mayor's Residence in East Clock Town. This is your initial trade item.
  2. The Blindfold: Trade the Wooden Sword to the shopkeeper in the Stock Pot Inn for the Blindfold.
  3. The Town Title Deed: Take the Blindfold to the Mayor's Residence and give it to Madame Aroma. She will give you the Town Title Deed.
  4. The Bomb Bag: Present the Town Title Deed to the shopkeeper in the Mayor's Residence. He will then give you the Bomb Bag.
  5. The Land Title Deed: Exchange the Bomb Bag with the shopkeeper in the Stock Pot Inn for the Land Title Deed.

Continuing the Exchange:

The sequence continues with more specific exchanges:

  1. The Hookshot: Take the Land Title Deed to the Postman in West Clock Town. He will give you the Hookshot.
  2. The Sea Title Deed: Trade the Hookshot with the shopkeeper in the Stock Pot Inn for the Sea Title Deed.
  3. The Zora Mask: This is a pivotal point. You will need to have obtained the Zora Mask from the ghost of King Zora. Once you have it, you can trade the Sea Title Deed with the shopkeeper in the Stock Pot Inn for the Zora Mask.
  4. The Goron Mask: Similarly, you will need the Goron Mask. Trade the Goron Mask with the shopkeeper in the Stock Pot Inn for the Goron Mask.
  5. The Mask of the Garo: Finally, after completing the above steps and obtaining the necessary masks, you can trade the Mask of the Garo with the shopkeeper in the Stock Pot Inn for the Mask of the Garo.

Tips for Success:

  • Keep track of your inventory and the items you have received.
  • The Bomber's Notebook can be helpful in remembering who to speak to and when.
  • Some parts of the trading sequence require specific masks or items to be obtained first. Ensure you have progressed through the main dungeons to acquire these.
  • The order of some trades might vary slightly depending on your progression, but the core items remain the same.
